Once upon a time, about 5 years ago, I met Tiffiny at a fruit/veggie coop. I was attracted to her kindness and love for nature, especially animals. Tiffiny is magnetic – everyone loves her, young and old. My grandkids went to Inspire Farms one day and drew Weirdimals with Tiffiny. They still to this day speak about their experience with her. She is a very kind soul and we need more of her in this world!!
Tiffiny has the best energy and creativity. She is compassionate and inspiring as a person and an artist. I love that she brings out the love of art for any age. It is a therapeutic experience painting with her, or having her gorgeous artwork in your home. My kiddos love their time with Tiffiny and they create such lovely works of art together. She is truly one of the most empathetic and caring beings. A gift to have in my life.
Tiffiny introduced me to painting which was an amazing experience. She has always been there with the best advice on everything for different techniques on switching up my painting skills to helping with painting furniture with chalk paint. An upbeat bright soul with a heart of gold, her knowledge and creativity are endless. You will thank yourself if you have the opportunity to work with her as you will gain so much from the experience.
Along with the colors and pictures, Tiffiny brings a sense of purpose and joy leaving those she interacts with possessing a greater sense of confidence and feeling encouraged. She reinforces her relationships with kindness, even leaving each resident with a hug before she leaves for the day.
On Wednesdays we go up to the Memory Care floor and this is what my residents made. Everyone is given a plate of paint and they just go for it. Tiffiny is amazing with memory care people. Patience is definitely one of her many virtues. Pictures like this is one of many we will be auctioning off with ALL proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Tiffiny is an amazing artist that has brought all of her passion and talent to Courtyard Towers. She exudes a passion for art and it shines through to all of our residents. The leaps and bounds that our residents have made in their progression through painting is absolutely amazing. Tiffiny’s positivity, compassion and fun approach to painting is what keeps our residents coming back for more. I truly believe that our residents could not have a better art teacher than Tiffiny Lilley. I am so happy that she is an essential part of the Courtyard family.
What an amazing event! I had a blast & I think the ladies did too! I love my smashbook and “getting my creativity on.” Thanks so much for lending your talent and expertise. Looking forward to more to come!
I’ve seen Tiffiny show a genuine love and affection for our senior residents. She shows so much patience as she instructs and demonstrates the techniques of the art. Several of the paintings now hang in our public areas and some will be auctioned at an upcoming charity event to benefit Alzheimer’s research. Such is the quality of the work she brings out in others.
Painting with Tiffiny is like a relaxing vacay from life, even if only for a few hours. I have always thought of myself as someone who is creative but absolutely awful at art of any kind. I was terrified looking at an empty canvas, afraid I would be embarrassed by my results. Instead, Tiffiny talked me through it step by step, in her warm and reassuring manner. I actually started having fun and realized I was feeling quite relaxed. I didn’t want our painting session to end. Although my end result may not be worthy of exhibitions, I am happy with it and I actually continue to work on it. Tiffiny helped me realize that it is the journey and enjoyment that painting brings that makes it worth doing. The end result is just a bonus.
I hired Tiffiny to create two customized blocks as a Christmas present and loved her final works. I hadn’t met her before I hired her but I had seen her amazing work that she did for a mutual friend. The character blocks I had her create for my son and I are proudly displayed on our living room shelves. She captured our personalities perfectly in a 3×3 square block.
I’ve known Tiffiny for quite a few years and have always been amazed at her energy and creativity. After my husband Eddie commissioned her for the painting that was central to our wedding proposal, I asked Tiffiny if she offered something for our wedding. I wanted art that makes you happy.
We didn’t want a traditional guest book. We thought it would get read once and then be placed on a shelf to gather dust. Tiffiny asked if we wanted to have guests paint canvas with messages for us. We were super excited! She brought us through the process of selecting a shape that guests would paint. Then Tiffiny would do a final layer, knowing the words, symbols, energy, and artwork from our guests were all included. Eddie and I chose a lotus flower which was the centerpiece of the tables at our wedding.
Our guests enjoyed the collaborative painting. Tiffiny was kind and encouraging to those who felt unsure about “their art skills,” and in the end nearly everyone contributed to our special artwork.
Tiffiny gave us the unfinished painting for a month after the nuptials so we could read and enjoy the messages. She then completed the final layer for us, creating a masterpiece that is the central artwork in our dining room. She also included a framed photo of the unfinished piece that we use as reference when looking at the final version.
After we hung the wedding painting, Eddie and I realized that we hadn’t painted on it ourselves! We called Tiffiny and asked if we could do another collaborative painting–this time it was for my birthday. This was a special because it was my first birthday since I was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). I wanted a painting filled with energy of the friends and family who had supported and loved us through the last year and a half.
Tiffiny and I met and put our creative minds together. Of all the symbols we reviewed, we kept coming back to the sunflower. Sunflowers represent longevity, happiness, and health. She not only designed the canvas we painted, but also the invitations. Many friends gathered to help with our painting. They loved the experience of being part of a larger project, and we love that their energy is in the painting that we see every morning when we wake up.
If you’re looking for a unique creative experience for your friends and family, I recommend calling Tiffiny Lilley of Studio Lilley!
I originally met Tiffiny when she was showing at a local Mesa gallery. I loved her work and purchased a small painting she made of my girlfriend. A while later, when I was preparing to ask my girlfriend to marry me, I called Tiffiny for a special request.
When I first started dating my girlfriend Anne, she wrote me a poem. She didn’t know, however, that I kept that poem and brought it with me everywhere I traveled over the next few years. When planning my proposal, I wanted to do something special with her wonderful poem. I commissioned Tiffiny to create a canvas featuring the poem from my soon-to-be fiancée.
Tiffany’s creation exceeded my expectations in every way! She painted several layers, each with wonderful energy and symbols of love. For the final layer, she created a spectacular sunburst image behind my Anne’s wonderful words.
On the big night, the staff of the Arizona Biltmore displayed the beautiful painting in front of their main fountain. As Anne and I walked the grounds before dinner, we walked up to the painting and she began to read it. When she recognized that it was her poem, I dropped to one knee, promised to love her forever, and gave her a special diamond ring.
It was an amazing moment my wife and I will always cherish. We still display the beautiful painting from Tiffany in the center of our home.
